Artist Statement

My work covers a broad range of subjects, from still life and architectural to impressionist landscape.  With images that are often likened to paintings, my fine art photography shares otherwise hidden and mysterious parts of our world, rich with colours and textures that defy our expectations.

Many reflect upon nature's ability to reclaim and break down the effects of man's presence, resulting in contemporary abstract images.  Others are more subtle, using specialist techniques honed by experience of both film and digital mediums to celebrate the light and spirit of a place.

My influences range from the French impressionist artists through to the varied work of leading photographers like Jay Maisel, Guy Tal, David du Chemin, Vincent Munier and Jim Brandenburg.
