Biography

My photographic career began in 1986 with commercial commissions ranging from advertising through to aerial photography for mining companies.  In the 1990's, the world of technology drew me away, but then the advent of digital photography allowed me to expand my creative options, now concentrating on fine art images.

Solo and group exhibitions followed, together with a number of community arts and education projects, writing many commissioned articles for specialist magazines and a year long assignment as Artist in residence for a respected Visual Arts College.  My limited edition art is now included in corporate and private collections in the UK, Europe, South Africa and the USA.

I work with Nikon film and digital cameras, inspired by my emotional responses to the colours and texture around me.  Two key themes run through my art.  The first is revealing the hidden heart of otherwise mundane objects and settings, while the second is simplification, painting with lens and light.

Based in Britain, I travel regularly to explore new creative opportunities, as well as learning and sharing with others.  If you would like to get in touch, please use the Contact page to drop me a line.

I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
